Looking For Protein? Give Nature's Best Zero Carb Isopure A Shot

Gastric bypass surgery has changed thousands of people's lives. They no longer have to live with obesity because the surgery helps them shed hundreds of pounds in some cases. But with the good comes the bad. The surgery limits the amount of food they can eat at a time so many wind up not getting enough protein in their daily diet. They need additional sources of protein to take throughout the day. Nature's Best Zero Carb Isopure is a great source of protein and is easy for any bariatric patient to use to help get them the protein his or her body needs.

Nature's Best Zero Carb Isopure is made from whey. But before you start swearing it off you should know that even though it does contain whey, it is 100% lactose free. The whey in the protein powder supplement has been isolated. So even if you are lactose intolerant you can still use this supplement.

Here is where it can get confusing though. The description for Isopure is that it has zero carbs. It says so on the bottle. But the reality is that for each serving size there are 4 grams of carbohydrates. Product labels that are misleading can really lead to a disappointed consumer. If a bottle says that it has zero carbs, then it should contain none. But that is where those tricky percentages come into play. The Food and Drug Administration allows up to a certain percent and still allows the manufacturer to label it as having none.

All in all though, the reviews for this protein powder are pretty good. Most people love the vanilla and the chocolate flavor. They also love the fact that it mixes easily and can even be added into baked goods. Those who did not like it often cited the artificial sweeteners as the drawback.

If you are looking for a good protein powder then you may want to give Nature's Best Zero Carb Isopure a chance. The price is a bit reasonable if you buy it online but if you pay the manufacturer's suggested retail price, then you are going to be shelling out $70.00 for a 3 pound container. That is quite expensive so make sure you shop around. At www.amazon.com, it is listed for $35.79 which is a better deal. Yes, there are cheaper protein powders on the market but they may not have the vitamins and minerals you need.
